Purpose of this disclaimer
This disclaimer supplements the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use as well as the information shown on each product page. It sets out the nature, limits and restrictions that may apply to the products presented or sold by Jouvence Care.
Product categories
Jouvence Care may present various categories of products relating to wellbeing, cosmetics, accessories, food supplements or research, depending on the products actually available and their status in the territory concerned. The regulatory classification, the conditions of sale and the permitted uses may differ from one product to another and from one country to another.
Products marked “Research Only”
Certain products may be expressly presented and labelled “Research Only”, “Research Use Only” or with equivalent wording. Where such a statement appears on a product, that product must be treated in accordance with its presentation, its labelling and the applicable legal restrictions. Unless a different status or authorisation is expressly indicated for the product and territory concerned, this presentation does not constitute an authorisation for medical or therapeutic use or for human consumption. The statement “Research Only” does not by itself change the legal classification of a product and does not permit any departure from mandatory regulations.
Availability by territory
The presence of a product on the site does not necessarily mean that it may be sold, shipped, imported or used in every country from which the site is accessible. Jouvence Care may limit, suspend or disable the purchase or shipment of a product to a jurisdiction where this is necessary in view of its regulatory status, import or export rules, customs requirements or the information available at the time of the order.
Not medical advice
Product descriptions, editorial content, articles, marketing communications and general information published by Jouvence Care do not constitute a diagnosis, a prescription or a personalised medical recommendation. Jouvence Care does not recommend starting, changing or stopping any medical treatment on the basis of information available on its site alone.
La Cure and products
The Jouvence Care “La Cure” service is separate from the sale of products. Jouvence Care may facilitate contact with doctors, nutritionists, coaches or other independent professionals. Those professionals retain their professional autonomy. They are under no obligation to recommend a Jouvence Care product, and Jouvence Care must not make their professional judgement conditional on the sale of a product.
Scientific information and educational content
Jouvence Care may publish information relating to research, wellbeing, longevity or substances studied in the scientific literature. Presenting a study, a research mechanism or a scientific result does not mean that a product sold by Jouvence Care is authorised to prevent, diagnose or treat a disease. Results from scientific work may depend on many factors and are not a guarantee of any individual outcome.
Compliant use
The customer must comply with the statements, restrictions and legal conditions applicable to the product concerned. Jouvence Care does not encourage any use contrary to the labelling, the declared purpose of the product or applicable law. Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to transfer to the customer a regulatory obligation that legally falls to Jouvence Care as seller, distributor or economic operator.
Quality, packaging and receipt
The customer must check the integrity of the packaging on receipt. If a product is damaged, deteriorated, shows a visible anomaly or does not match the order, they are asked not to use it and to contact Jouvence Care promptly, giving the order number and, where relevant, photographs. Customer service can then arrange the appropriate solution in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions and applicable statutory rights.
Storage and conservation
Products must be stored in accordance with the instructions on their packaging, label or product page. Failure to observe storage conditions may affect the integrity or characteristics of the product. If there is any doubt about the integrity of a product, the customer is asked not to use it and to contact Jouvence Care.
No guarantee of results
Except for statutory guarantees applicable to the conformity of the product, Jouvence Care gives no guarantee of any medical, therapeutic, physiological, aesthetic, sporting, weight-loss, longevity or performance result arising from a product. Any testimonials, reviews or experiences published are not a guarantee that other people will obtain identical results.
Safety and particular groups
Where a product is lawfully intended for human use in a given jurisdiction, the precautions, contraindications and instructions specific to that category of product must be observed. People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, minors, those undergoing treatment or with a particular medical condition should, where relevant, seek the advice of a healthcare professional before using products intended for human use. This provision must not be read as authorising human use of a product presented as intended solely for research.
Age restrictions
Sales made directly to individuals by Jouvence Care are intended for adults. Further restrictions may apply depending on the country, the nature of the product or local regulatory requirements.
Regulatory change
The status of certain products and substances may change. Jouvence Care may, without notice where necessary, amend a product page, restrict a destination, suspend a sale or withdraw a product in order to take account of a legislative, regulatory or scientific development or a decision of a competent authority.
